Gourmex: Elevating Mexican Culinary Excellence Through Community and Culture


Gourmex is a community-driven culinary event dedicated to celebrating chefs and culinary leaders of Mexican heritage who elevate culture, tradition, and excellence through their craft. Showcasing the best of the industry, the event brings together renowned chefs, vintners, tequila and mezcal producers, and exceptional Mexican brands to create a platform that honors the richness of Mexico’s culinary legacy.

Founded in 2010 as part of the bicentennial celebration of Mexican Independence, Gourmex emerged from a collaboration between community advocates and the Consulate General of Mexico in Northern California. As the event continued to grow, it required experienced leadership to preserve its mission while scaling its impact, strengthening partnerships, and delivering a seamless, high-quality experience.

Our Approach
As a proud member of the Gourmex Group, Connecta Events provided strategic leadership and full-cycle event direction. Working closely with the Consulate of Mexico, community advocates, sponsors, and industry partners, we serve as event directors and oversee all aspects of planning, production, catering coordination, and post-event evaluation.

With more than 20 years of combined experience in event management and community coordination, the team applies proven systems trusted by chefs and industry leaders, cultivates long-standing relationships with attendees, and aligns brands and sponsors with the event’s cultural mission.
